fresh off an all-night red-eye, bitter underground miami based poet realproperlike pulled up to the office of positive-vibed miami-producer the pyrvmids to conjure the legendary battle rapper bill collector. what happened next became the eerily different collaboration of a poem called “everclearproof”. this track has heavy energy starting with a chat that sounds like its from a karaoke night and then a beat builds around it. Something you could see from Kanye West in his prime. the beginning is the perfect vibe to get ready for the hard hitting beat and rap style of realproperlike. the instrumental incorporates a nice heavy drum loop with hi hats bouncing around as quick snares time up the verse. the atmospheric synths give the track energy but don’t distract from the precise bars from realproperlike. this track shows a lot of promise in both artists. a quality, well polished sound mixed with well thought out lyrics. what could go wrong? check this track out as soon as possible.
13Teen returns with his newest tape “MelTeenCanon”. The whole thing has production from the one and only Meltycanon, so you know every instrumental is cold with that little Melty spice. 13Teen delivers countless catchy bars on songs like “I spilled on my switch” and “Splatoon Blaster”. He adds a different move by adding “When She Walks” to the track list. The instrumental is slower with beautiful piano chord progressions and a lead flute tone. 13Teen still delivers what is expected and more but, it’s a nice change of pace and it deserves the recognition. Teaming up with BIG LAX on “Splatoon Blaster” was a great move as well. Their voices blend so well together and have a great sound when they coexist on the same track. This tape is more than worth your time especially if you live Meltycanon’s production.
Yoro is a R&B singer that’s also has the tendencies to rap. He was on a mission to replicate what his life felt like in the moment of creating it. It starts off with “TRIPPIN IN TOKYO” with is a beautiful melodic dream about achieving your dreams and ending up tripping in Tokyo. There’s a nice switch up when Yoro start rapping a bit until it leads back into the atmospheric synths with “Another Peter Parker Story”. Yoro’s sound is very futuristic and melodic and is great to sing a long with and dance to. “U GOOD?” Is one of favorite songs on the tape and it’s just a quick interlude but, it sounds so raw and perfect like we were at karaoke night at the bar and Yoro stepped up to sing during all the chaos. “Nic at Night” is a weird bass heavy track with quick strums and hopping drums. Yoro shows his real rap quality on this song by creating seamless bars and keeping it going way longer than expectations. The track breaks down into distorted voices and quick melodic singing and it easily because one of our favorites. Yoro is a talent going completely unnoticed even though he’s making some of the most creative tunes we’ve heard. Check him out right now.
